Computer Usage Policy

Welcome to the computing facilities of the Deparment of Mathematics/Computer Science at Duquesne University. In order to use our public facilities in either College Hall 439 (the Alcoa lab) or College Hall 444 (the Alcoa classroom) you will need a Math/CS account card. If you do not have such a card, please contact

John Noecker (noeckerj@duq.edu)

or go to the Math/CS main office in College Hall 440 to obtain one.

It is each student's responsibility to ensure that the user I.D. and password remain private, and are not released to any other individual. In the event that your account card is ever lost or stolen, please report immediately the loss directly to

Adrian Vergot (vergot@compsci.duq.edu)

You should be aware of the Department of Math/CS's usage policy:

Math/CS equipment is not to be used for any purpose that violates the Mission Statement of Duquesne University, nor is it to be used for personal profit. Accounts are for the use of the individual to whom they are assigned and should not be used by others.

You should also be aware of Duquesne University's Computing Ethics and Guidelines.

Please enjoy the use of our facilities, but use them responsibly.
